FAQ

Your questions, straight answers

Is my identity safe?

Yes. The owner of the vehicle you report never sees your name or phone number. The challan comes from the police, not from you.

For Sakhi complaints, you can choose to keep your name completely hidden.

Who issues the challan?

Always a police officer. Lok Suraksha never issues challans. The app only passes your photo and details to the officer, and the officer decides.

Can someone misuse it against me?

There are three safeguards:

  • Only live photos taken in the app are accepted. No old or edited photos from a gallery.
  • A police officer looks at every report. If the evidence is not clear, there is no challan.
  • If you think a challan is wrong, you can appeal against it.
Does Lok Suraksha earn from fines?

No. Lok Suraksha gets no share of any fine or challan.

What data is stored?

Your phone number for login, and your reports: photo or video, location, time, and anything you said. Sakhi data is stored separately and encrypted. All data is kept in India, and we never sell it.
